Hello again! Life is still busy as ever. I traveled to Monticello for our mission trip meeting and to be announced to and commissioned by the church. I am even more stoked after meeting all of the wonderful people I will be mission tripping with. There is an amazing group of people going to Kenya and I know God is going to do amazing things. We got our questions answered and our plans set, now we're just waiting on Sunday!!! Please continue to pray for us while we are traveling and witnessing to those in Kenya. I may or may not blog from Africa...I still haven't decided if I'm going to bring the computer.
This week I'm at church camp in Bogg Springs, Arkansas. We brought 7 kids and they're already having a blast. The theme this week is KNOWN. The focus is on making God (and Christ) known to those around us. I taught today about Matthew 5 and being a light, a city on a hill. We are to make God known to others by shining our light toward Christ. Are you setting your light on a candle stand or are you covering it with a basket? Do you even have a light to shine? Do people know you are a Christian? Do they know what makes you a Christian? Continue to pray for our kids as they experience God working in their lives this week. Pray that they are changed by what they see and hear this week. Pray that God uses this week to prepare me for my time abroad.
On Friday we will travel back home. I will then wash clothes and attempt to pack so that I can drive up to Monticello Saturday night to leave out on Sunday from Memphis. SO EXCITED!!!!
Make God KNOWN.
