Is this real life?

Schooooooool's…. out…. for….. summer!

It's been quite a full couple of months! I've mostly been focused on closing out the school year. On top of all of the end of the year festivities, two of our Destination Imagination teams traveled to Knoxville, TN this past week, so I had also been preparing for that trip, raising money and extra practicing.
We had a small Easter egg hunt in our class and the kids used the eggs they found to make a message for me.
Mary and I had a slumber party with some of our youth group girls!
Birthday Party for my Aunt Keisha! So much fun!
Our last FCA meeting of the year. Our fourth graders prayed for our fifth graders as they go on to middle school!
Field Day with my kiddos! (Yes, I'm wearing a tutu...why not?!)
Fun girls' day with the Stewart family in Houston, TX, when I went for their Faith Promise Revival!
Clayton and Lindsey's wedding was beautiful! Can't wait to get on the mission field with them!
The teachers at my school had a going away party for me and Maria, who is retiring.
I did the Color Run with some awesome people! It was a blast!

Some wonderful coworkers gave me a little bit of Louisiana to take with me to Kenya!
The other team takes a selfie with the teacher!

I want to say a special Thank You to Calvary Baptist in Baytown, TX and Stockwell Road Missionary Baptist in Bossier City, LA for inviting me these last few weeks to come and share what God is doing. I loved getting meet their church members and fellowship with them all. It truly is a blessing to know there are people praying for me on this new chapter in my life.

It's all getting a little bit more real, only having 4 weeks before I leave. That also means that there is a lot to do, not only preparing to be on the mission field, but also spending time with my family and friends before I make the big jump over the pond. Almost every day is full up until I leave.

In Christ,
Ashley
